Dark Energon

Dark Energon gives you a big boost, but it builds up in your system and can bring the dead back as Terrorcons.

• Dark Energon Shard
• Dark Energon crystal
• Block of Dark Energon

Dark Energon crystals underground

Eating it

Each shard gives you Strength, Speed and Haste for 30 seconds. Eating more adds to the time, up to 5 minutes, and you glow purple while it lasts.

The first shard makes you dizzy for 10 seconds.

Dark Energon in your system

Every shard you eat adds one step of Dark Energon to your system, and it stays there even after the boost wears off.

• Synthetic Energon pushes it the other way, one step per dose.
• Regular Energon brings you back to normal, one step per shard.
• Dying clears it all, and the glow goes too.

Vampires

Don’t mix them. If you take Synthetic Energon while there’s Dark Energon in your system, or Dark Energon while there’s Synthetic in it, you become a vampire:

• Your glow turns pink.
• You can’t eat Energon any more.
• Hitting another Transformer feeds you, and each hit has a 1 in 16 chance to turn them into a vampire too.

Switching to a different character, resetting with /transformer setself or dying gets rid of it.

Terrorcons

Dark Energon crystals raise Terrorcons. Every so often a crystal will try to raise one somewhere dark nearby, away from players. Terrorcons are also drawn to any Dark Energon block, including lit lamps, lights and Cubes holding Dark Energon.

Finding it

Dark Energon deposits are rare, about 1 in 90 chunks, underground in the Overworld between y −52 and y 48. There aren’t any in the Nether.
