Cyberstone and Cyberite

Cyberstone and Cyberite are building blocks from Cybertron. Cyberite is a metal that slowly rusts, a bit like copper, and it’s what most of the Energon tech is built from: lamps, batteries, lights and the Energon Cube.

Smelting Cyberite gives you Cybermatter, which is what Ground Bridge frames are made of.

Every family has a base block plus Polished, Bricks and Tiles, and each of those comes as a slab, stairs and wall too.

Cyberite with at least one side open to the sky slowly turns into Rusted Cyberite, taking about 5 hours on average. Getting it wet speeds that up a lot, about 10 times faster in the rain, touching water or for 5 minutes after a water splash potion lands nearby. Cyberite under any kind of roof won’t rust at all, even when wet. That includes indoors, underground and under glass or leaves.

  • Right-click with an Axe to scrape the rust off.
  • Right-click with Honeycomb to wax it, and it’ll never rust. An Axe takes the wax back off. Rusted Cyberite can be waxed too.
  • Fire touching an unwaxed Rusted block bakes it into Cured Cyberite after a few seconds. Lamps, batteries, lights and Energon Cubes keep their settings and Energon when they cure.
  • Smelt Rusted Cyberite to get Cured Cyberite, which can’t rust at all.

Every Cyberite block rusts like this, including slabs, stairs, walls, lamps, batteries, lights and Energon Cubes. They keep their shape and settings when they do.

Two Cyberite slabs make the blank design. Put a Chiseled block in the crafting grid on its own to cycle through the designs: Blank, Autobot, Decepticon and back to Blank. Rusted Cyberite, Cured Cyberite and Cyberstone have their own versions.

Cyberite Energon Lamps light up at level 15 when they’re powered with Energon from a Cyberite Energon Cube or Battery through Energon Cable. A full Cube keeps one lamp lit for about 83 minutes.

  • If a lamp loses its Energon (the cable is broken or the Cube runs dry), it stays lit for another 10 minutes before turning off. Reconnect it in time and it never goes dark.
  • Lamps touching each other share power, so lighting one lights the whole group of the same colour. The lamp on the cable pays for every lamp it lights, so big groups drain faster.
  • There are also Red Energon, Dark Energon and Tox-En Lamps. Craft any lamp with a shard to turn it into that colour. An Energon Shard turns it back to blue. Coloured lamps only run on their own kind of Energon. Redstone doesn’t power any Energon block.
  • Cyberstone Energon Lamps work the same way. Craft them like the Cyberite lamp but with Cyberstone, and they come in all four colours.

A Battery is a Cyberite Energon Cube you can carry around. It holds one and a half times as much, 24 Energon Shards’ worth instead of 16, and keeps its charge when you break it.

  • Charge it by right-clicking with shards, or connect it to a Cube with Energon Cable and it charges at about 5 shards a second (twice that with Red Energon).
  • It holds one kind of Energon at a time, and only powers blocks that run on that kind.
  • It shows how full it is on the outside, and a full one is called a Charged Cyberite Battery.
  • It powers machines, lamps and the Ground Bridge through cables like a Cube does, and glows at light level 10 while it has any Energon in it.
  • Batteries placed in a solid box shape (a tower, a row, a 2x2, a 3x3x3 and so on) link into one big battery. It fills from the bottom up and drains from the top down, wherever the cable is plugged in. Shapes with gaps don’t link.

They always glow at light level 6 and don’t need any power. Lights next to each other join into one big panel.

  • They come in four materials (Cyberite, Polished Cyberite, Cyberstone and Polished Cyberstone) and four colours (blue, Red Energon, Dark Energon and Tox-En).
  • Lights of the same colour join up whatever they’re made of. Different colours stay separate.
  • The Cyberite ones rust and can be waxed. The Cyberstone ones don’t rust.
  • Craft an Energon Lamp of the colour you want with one block of the type you want, like a Dark Energon Lamp with Polished Cured Cyberite. Crafting a light with a shard still changes its colour.

When an explosion breaks Cyberstone, it crumbles into Cyber Ash that settles on the ground, up to four layers deep. Energon explosions, Wheeljack’s Grenades and Dreadwing’s and Skyquake’s Bombs also scatter Cyber Ash around where they go off. Four Cyber Ash craft into a Cyber Debris block, which you dig with a shovel.

Cyberstone, Rusted, Cured and Waxed blocks use the same recipes as Cyberite, and every cut block, slab, stair and wall can also be made on a Stonecutter. Diamondplate is the exception: it needs an Iron Ingot, so it can only be crafted. The Recipes page has them all in one place.
