Patrols
Vehicons don’t spawn by themselves. They always come in a patrol, either on the ground (Grounders) or in the air (Flyers).

Spawning
Section titled “Spawning”| How often | Once every 20 minutes |
| Where | The Overworld, 48 to 96 blocks from a player |
| Size | 1 to 5 Vehicons, usually 2 to 4, most often 3 |
| Type | Grounders or Flyers, 50/50 |
Patrols won’t spawn on Peaceful, within 160 blocks of another Vehicon, or when doMobSpawning, doPatrolSpawning or doVehiconSpawning is turned off.
Patrols don’t despawn.
Formations
Section titled “Formations”Patrols move in formation behind their leader. Followers always back up their leader first, so they’ll switch to whatever it’s fighting, and when it moves on they drop whatever they were doing and follow it.
| Grounders | Flyers |
|---|---|
| Wedge (3 or 5 only) | Vic (3 or 5 only) |
| Column | Finger four |
| Echelon | Line abreast |
Reinforcements and raids
Section titled “Reinforcements and raids”- If a patrol leader is losing a fight it can call in 3 reinforcements, but only once every 10 minutes. Reinforcements can’t call in more reinforcements.
- If a patrol finds an undefended base (a bed or a few chests), it remembers it and might come back later to raid it.
- There can’t be more than 12 Vehicons within 160 blocks.
