Transformer Basics
Robot and vehicle mode
Section titled “Robot and vehicle mode”
Press R to transform. Transforming while sprinting is faster. What you turn into depends on the character:
| Vehicle | How it drives |
|---|---|
| Car | Drives on the ground. Sprint for top speed, and at full speed you’ll smash through leaves |
| Aircraft | Always flies the way you’re looking. Hold forward to go faster |
| Helicopter | Hovers, and you can fly it in any direction |
| Tank | Drives like a car, just slower and heavier |
You can’t use items in vehicle mode, and V turns your headlights on and off.
Passengers
Section titled “Passengers”Other players can ride you in vehicle mode, up to your character’s passenger limit. You can turn the limit down in the Transformer Editor.
Transforming back to robot mode with passengers on board squeezes them, and they get hurt until they’re thrown out.
Heavy landings
Section titled “Heavy landings”Land on a mob shorter than you from 3 or more blocks up and you’ll crush it. The further you fall and the heavier your character, the harder it hits. Other Transformers, Vehicons, Terrorcons and Scraplets are safe, and so are your pets, villagers, Iron Golems you built and anyone on your team.
Energon instead of food
Section titled “Energon instead of food”Transformers can’t eat normal food. They run on Energon instead:
- The only things you can eat are Energon Shards, Red Energon, Dark Energon, Synthetic Energon, Tox-En and the Aimyx plushy. Tox-En hurts you.
- Shooting uses up a bit of your Energon bar, and you can’t shoot when it’s almost empty.
Check out Energon types to see what each one does.
Faction armour
Section titled “Faction armour”When you become a Transformer you get Autobot, Decepticon or MECH armour put on you, matching your team or your character’s faction. More on that in Faction armour.
